My father took several photos of our visits to Luna Park in 1950 and I am sharing some of them here. The first two photos show my mother and I seated at the rear of the train that ran around the park, and on the roller coaster ride. The photo of me on the airplane ride shows part of the building in the background. I don't recall if that was the building that also housed the Sky Room lounge.
My father's cousin, Maria Gonella, accompanied us on one of our visits to the Park. She and I enjoyed the carousel ride and posed for a photo with my mother in front of the Park's gift shop. Maria's parents were Ugo and Grace (Murray) Gonella. Maria later married Jan Huysman who worked for the Belgian Bank in Hong Kong. They eventually retired to Belgium in the seventies, sometime after her grand aunt Margaret Bond passed away in 1971.
