Received a scan of this photo many decades ago. Not sure of the source but the photo is attributed to Edwin Tregillus who lived at 10 Peace Avenue, Kowloon, close to the car accident scene.
On 23 March 1931, Mr and Mrs Sydney Ashworth escaped from serious injury after their Studebaker crashed into the big nullah on Waterloo Road whilst negotiating the turn into Nathan Road. The car turned turtle and the occupants were pinned for nearly an hour beneath the vehicle. Hong Kong Telegraph dated 24 March 1931 contains more information of the car accident.
