No. 7 steam turbine (the second one) was in commission as early as 1932 so survived the war.
This was an unusual type to see in the 1960s as it was a Brush Ljungstrom machine, unlike the usual conventional British steam turbines similar to No 9 in the foreground.
The view as pictured was familiar to me as it looking through from the 1966 ‘C’ Power Station’s turbine hall.
