Excelsior Hotel completed in August 1972 by the main contractor Paul Y. The site will be redeveloped by Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group for a new commercial development, the hotel closed it doors to the public 1st May 2019. Demolition currently being carried out by Gammon Construction which started 1st April 2019 and is scheduled to complete demoltion Q2 2020.
