For an ex World War II pilot, whom I believe had been a prisoner of war in Germany, helping in the famous Wooden Horse escape, it would seem that Flt Lt Leigh Bennett's moustaches became a prime target every Christmas. By all accounts he was a very popular officer. (Andrew S)
