This photograph was included in an illustrated  catalogue for an exhibition presented by Horstmann & Godfrey Ltd entitled "Old Photographs of Chinese Cities 1865-1912" in January 1995 at the Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong. The caption reads ' The paddle steamer KIN SHAN moored at Wuzhou Fu, a treaty port on the West River branch of the Pearl River. Albumen print mounted on card, circa 1880.'

Fabricated by Roosevelt & Joyce New York for Capt. James B. Endicott. 3/1863 sections arrived in China and ownership transfered to Augustine Heard & Co. Launched 30/10/1863. 11/1863 entered Hong Kong / Canton trade.

10/1865 transfered to Hong Kong, Canton & Macao Steamboat Company

25/08/1882 registry closed on sale for breaking up.
