The Dutch passenger liner Tjibantjet, that was built in Sunderland, England in 1952, was driven from her mooring in Junk Bay onto the rocks below Devil's Peak during Typhoon Gloria on 23 September 1957. It must have taken Bruce a long time to get round there from Little Sai Wan to take these three photographs. I think that she was refloated some time in May 1958.
