Aberdeen.

It looks as though there were 4 floating restaurants when Peter visited Aberdeen, and the Naval dockyard is just visible in the bottom right corner.  Ap Lei Chau island was still largely undeveloped.

Further to Marlowe's comment on the photograph of the banks, later in this gallery, I now wonder whether more or even all the images in Peter's gallery are commercial ones dating from 1950.  Peter only arrived in Hong Kong in 1953.
