Look what I've found last night? Must have walked by this one hundreds of times on the western side pavement on Pottinger Street between DVRC and Connaught Road Central over the years but didn't see the words. It reads "Wu Han No. 9 Iron Casting Plant\武漢鑄造九號廠 236/65"
Don't know exactly what the numbers mean, but could mean #236, 1965. A second thought, might be some sort of steel instead of cast iron (like the pipes they dug up in Wuhan(?) a few years ago). Corrections welcome.
