I've added a 1900s date - I looked at this postcard again when writing my fifth book. The postcard has a handwritten note on the back 'This is my car at the lower tram station before starting to the peak the cross is where I stand F. Aslett'. Francis Aslett was a brakesman on the Peak Tramway in 1910, then in 1911 changed jobs to work for the KCR.
