From the photo the flaps of the aircraft can be seen, the plane had taken off from the end of the reclaimed runway and proceeded in a northwesterly direction. The passenger terminal building at Kai Tak is visible below.
Thanks moddsey. What led this plane to take off from the southeast end when it would fly over densely populated area (noise), longer taxi and more fuel? This one occurred in summer which typically has southerly wind. Regards, Peter
