The garage must have been quite crowded with four people living in it, but at least they had some privacy. That must have been a rare commodity during those three and a half years. Ron was an excellent swimmer and I always thought that had something to do with the times when the children were allowed to go down to Tweed Bay beneath the prison walls for a swim. I wonder if the adults were allowed to enjoy that bit of freedom?
