Text on back of photo:

HONG KONG, CHINA — Sailors of the U. S. Seventh Fleet have liberty in one of China's world-famed ports, Hong Kong. The U. S. Navy, which is helping China in evacuating Japanese military forces, also finds time to visit China's historic places.

Neal C. Bouche, Boilermaker Third Class, of Iron Mountain, Michigan, and Charles Frey, Coxswain, of Reading, Pennsylvania, try out one of Hong Kong's many forms of transportation:    the sedan chair.
