In the 1950s, Harrison Forman photographed a similar scene to the one on Facebook, looking west on QRC: https://collections.lib.uwm.edu/digital/collection/agsphoto/id/23073/rec/120

Amongst the street signs, I think the pawn shop sign can be seen.

In the 1941 photograph, a street sign can be seen on the right but it is unclear to discern. The building site appears to be sloping downhill.

Further review. The building site was on the northeast corner of QRC and Pottinger Street. Hence the slope downhill from QRC.

In the centre, the China Dispensary Ltd., was located at 82 QRC. The 1941 Hong Kong $ Directory confirms the address.

On the extreme left, the building at 76 QRC was built inwards from the main road. Out of sight to the left of this building was the steps of Pottinger Street leading up from QRC
