MV HONGKONG TRUTH

As the ship is listed as owned by the C.Y. Tung group from 1968 - 1978 it is likely that the photo was taken after 1965 at the Sham Shui Po anchorage between Lai Chi Kok and Stonecutters Island.

Formerly MV LUBILASH – built in 1954 by John Cockerill S.A. Hoboken for Maritime Belge  (Lloyd Royal) S.A. Belgium.

1968  transferred to United Transoceanic  Shg. Corp. a joint venture between C.Y.Tung  and Cie. Maritime Belge.

1968 Renamed HONG KONG TRUTH and transferred to Universal Marine Corp. Liberia. Initially employed on a service between US Pacific ports and Eastern Australia. During its 9 year career with C.Y. Tung the ship was transferred to a further five different companies within the group.

07 1977 laid up in Hong Kong and broken up there in 02 1978 by Loy Kee  Shipbreaker & Tptn Co.
