On Mody Road. (I originally thought it was on the corner with Nathan Road, but that was just a sign pointing to the hotel, which was a short distance along Mody Road.)
The book "Streets: Exploring Kowloon" says:
Empress Lodge on Mody Road was one of the most popular [residential hotels]. A room with full board cost less than a hundred dollars a month, which made Empress Lodge a popular option for young, unmarried men. Renamed the Melbourne Hotel in 1939, the building was later demolished and replced by the Holiday Inn Golden Mile.
The FEER says it was "torn down in 1961".
