Yes, this is David. I live in Edinburgh with my wife. We have two sons, the youngest lives with us and the eldest lives and works in Milton Keynes. My eldest brother lives in Fife, next brother lives in Liverpool and my sister Diana lived in Plymouth, but sadly passed away last year. Mum passed in 1991.
I started using this great website to reminisce about happy times in HK and to try and find out a bit more about my mother. She was Chinese, born in Shanghai, attended Diocesan Girls’ School and was adopted by AG Borras in Macau. Do you know how our mothers met?
I’ve also learnt about the bravery of your Mum and Dad during the war. Coincidently, my wife’s uncle, Michael O’Connor, was in the Royal Scots, stationed in HK and ended up as a POW in Sham Shui Po camp. Unfortunately he didn’t survive the war, as he was killed on the Lisbon Maru in 1942.
