Forgive me, but I'm having difficulty matching this up with the 25-year old Princess Alexandra of 1961. Are there other pictures of the Princess's 1961 visit with which we could compare this one?
To me this looks more like Princess Beatrix of the Netherlands who visited Hong Kong in 1962. There is a photo of her wearing a similar hat on that occasion. Opinions welcome
I have now checked with a Dutch friend who confirms that the white-gloved woman in the foreground is definitely Princess Beatrix. It would be useful to find out whether Stephen WONG Yuen Cheung had a particular connection with Dutch companies in Hong Kong in order for him to be escorting Princess Beatrix. She was in Hong Kong for three days at the end of November 1962. I wonder what the event is.
