This building belongs to the Aberdeen Market and probably shows the slaughterhouse. It looks as if there is still slaughtering of pigs, and the men on the left seem to work with pig intestines.

Hi Klaus,
I remember most pigs for HK Island were processed in Kennedy Town Slaughter House back in those years. Uncertain if the government would allow other slaughter houses in urban area to continue.
Centralized processed meat would have edible purple ink markings on them. Unfortunately the photo is not clear enough to see if there are any.
