1965 - Aberdeen waterfront

This found slide, clearly showing iconic Amoy Canning Corporation signage, is labelled “Hong Kong Waterfront”. Can anyone in the Gwulo Community provide details, which would serve to clearly identify the scene shown. The date of 1965, and the Western District waterfront location are somewhat arbitrary guesses on my part, and could be quite misleading. I look forward to being corrected!

Thanks to moddsey's input - see below - I have now corrected the submission title.

Actually, the photo was taken at the Aberdeen waterfront. In front of the "Amoycan" building was the entrance to the "Sea Palace" (left) and "Tai Pak" (right) Floating Restaurants and gathering area/shelter for the subsequent sampan/boat ride to the restaurants.

The shelters have distinctive Chinese roofs.

Thank you moddsey for your extremely detailed and very welcome correction. I will adjust the submission title accordingly.
