It is part of Wheatfield…
It is part of Wheatfield Barracks close to Canton Road. The building at the back is the back of the building on Canton Road.
Whitfield Barracks looking South West
The other photograph mentioned showing more of the background. Photo from the 1930s.
Whitfield Barracks
Many thanks for the information which resolves the photographs. I gather that Whitfield Barracks were in TSIM SHA TSUI in Kowloon. They were named after Henry Wase Whitfield who became Commander of the British Army in Hong Kong in 1869.
I know the Barracks as Whitfield is Wheatfield the same place?
Whitfield Barracks
Whitfield Barracks is the correct name. Wheatfield appears to be a typo.
