Looking through the windows, I think one is looking at the view from the former quarters of the British Military Hospital in Kowloon above Wylie Road. Wylie Court (2nd Generation) appears on the left. In front are the military sports fields of King's Park adjoining Kowloon BMH.

The low-level building with burgundy stripes can be seen here at: https://www.qaranc.co.uk/British-Military-Hospital-Hong-Kong-Wylie-Road-Kings-Park.php

The window arrangement appears to match the exterior of the building(s): https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q4970341#/media/File:Millbank_House,_BMH_Hong_Kong.jpg

The quarters were likely leased for the making of the film.

I'm in full agreement with Moddsey regarding the location.

I lived in Wylie Court in the 90's in the block nearest the camera. Those tennis courts were directly below. One day I looked out of the window and saw a game being watched by a crowd of spectators, which was unusual. Turned out one of the players was Michael CHANG, the American tennis pro and major winner.

The hospital has been used many times throughout the 80s and 90s for both local and foreign film and TV productions.

It even featured in some episodes of Dallas that were filmed here in the mid 80s.
