The circular date stamp (c.d.s.) which would have been stamped over the Q.V. adhesive - likely the 2c green from the 1900-02 watermark Crown CA issue set - looks like it was from the Central Post Office - you can just make out the 'V' for 'Victoria' that would have been at the top part of the c.d.s.
The post card would have left Central, Hong Kong on board the steam launch and crossed the harbour to Tsim Sha Tsui arriving at the Kowloon Branch Post Office.
The 'K8' is actually 'KB' which stands for Kowloon Branch. So that would have been an arrival marking, hence the two c.d.s.
The index letter 'C' is present in this c.d.s. I believe this is likely to be Kowloon Branch Type B 22/22.5mm single lined c.d.s. for the local branch post office aficionado collectors and they came in index letters A to F. I think the index letters here stood for the a particular time period when it was stamped. 'C' may be some time in the early afternoon but I don't have the notes with me atm.
The date range for the K.B. Type B c.d.s was used from 10th March 1900 to June 1915 so it won't help narrow the date range anymore then what is already deduced.
