Demolished / No longer exists

This is the old northern end of Lock Road. Today Lock Road's northern exit is on Haiphong Road, but previously a solid block of buildings ran along the southern side of Haiphong Road, so Lock Road made a 90-degree turn and exited onto Nathan Road instead. You can see the old layout on the 1956 map: http://gwulo.com/node/34636#17/22.29733/114.17229/Map_by_ESRI-1956_Kowl…

Lock Road came into use in 1931 commencing from Peking Road and terminating at the north side of K. I. L. 406. See Government Gazette Notice No. 21 at: https://sunzi.lib.hku.hk/hkgro/view/g1931/617712.pdf

The 1938 Street Index for Nathan Road shows there was a junction at Nathan Road next to the Station Building for access to Lock Road.
