This photo is one of a pair without any legend from the collection of Leslie and Cicely Warren. I can recognise the driver as their neighbour, William Whiteley who lived at 17 Broadwood Road from 1923 and later no. 16. I can't identify any of the other passengers. They may be from other Broadwood Road families. The boy appears in another photo that I posted at gwulo.com/atom/18038. The legend to that photo misidentified him as Kathleen Hyde-Lay's brother. Who is he in fact? Might the road be Tai Hang Road? Any ideas about the location or the identities of the passengers welcome. The date would probably be late 1920s or early 1930s.

I considered Charles Olson,…
I considered Charles Olson, but I think this man looks too young for the date. Charles was even burlier at this date (I think). The man may be the boy’s father, if only we knew who the boy was. The lady at the back also appears in the other car photo. She looks much younger than Ellen Whiteley. It could be Dorothy Dransfield (or the boy’s mother). Thank you for the suggestions. Sadly our pool of “known” faces is too small.
