Little information is known. Mrs. Hileya Zane was interned at Stanley Camp.

She does not appear on the Gripsholm passenger list and given the report date of 13 October 1942 below, Hileya Zane very likely was not repatriated and remained at Stanley Camp.

Mrs Hileya Zane Civilian Stanley Camp Hong Kong

Report Date 13 October 1942

Individual has been reported through sources considered official

Is she using her husband's name as was the custom then? e.g. Mrs George Brown

Not sure if she was using her husband's name.

There were Zanes in Shanghai and Hong Kong who appear to come from the same family. See Carl Smith Card No: 154573  here Zane could be an anglicized name for a Chinese surname

But Hileya probably indicates a different origin.
