We used to take this green mini bus from Tsuen Wan to the '13 1/2 mile' Ma Wan pier near Sham Tseng, from there we got onto the 'gaido' ferry to Ma Wan Island. This was before the Tsing Ma Bridge came into existence.
According to theTransport Department of Hong Kong (info dated 02 July 2024), GMB Route No. 96M, Castle Peak Road-Ting Kau westbound near Approach Beach is currently not a designated picking up / setting down point for the concerned GMB Route. However, GMB drivers may pick up or set down passengers at all places outside restricted zones along the route without contravening the Road Traffic Legislation.

Thanks for comment, Kenneth
I wonder how old this sign about the 96M route is. It is not up to date at all. According to HKeMobility there less bus stops nowadays.

This 96M green minibus sign
Given the Ma Wan ferry/kaito service ended in around 2005, this sign can be over 20 years old.
