The photo shows the Factory Street Playground on Shau Kei Wan Road next to the former St. Mark's School. The school campus today is used by the Carmel School on 460 Shau Kei Wan Road. A view of the area from 2009 here It appears an extra storey had been added to the school premises from the 1950s.
The occasion was to celebrate children's day on April 4, 1957, sponsored by the Shau Kei Wan community welfare association, at the children's playground.
