Thanks to Jill Fell who reported this typo. The fourth paragraph on page 71 begins:
The hardhips of the war years ...
'hardhips' should be 'hardships'.
'hardhips' would have been picked up by Word's spell-check, so my guess is that this was a last-minute edit I made, and I'd assumed there wouldn't be any mistake in such a little change!!
I'll correct this when it is time to have the book reprinted.
