Sophie’s parents ran the Sennet Frères luxury watch and jewellery company in Hong Kong. The impresario Harry O’Dell married Sophie’s mother - and by marrying into the Weill family became involved with Sennet Frères himself.
Members of the family are buried in the Jewish Cemetery in Happy Valley.
