chatham and fat kwong bridge intersection 1971. One can see the valley road-chatham road junction with a billboard of the sky theater. Fat Kwong flyover is in the background. The bus number 5 goes along chatham road all the way to the TST star ferry terminal. By the way, the chatham flyover was opened end of 1969. The bus supposedly would start to go up the flyover inclined at a few degrees around the Cooke street junction. Of course one can still see the slight slope in today's google map. One can see sandwiched between the old buildings on valley road and the Fat Kwong flyover block 17 of the valley road estate uphill.

On second floor of that building in the picture, one can see a cross. The second floor used to be a church.
This 1963 picture shows it was a church called Chatham road Lutheran Chapel. The third floor was a clothes factory on fire in 1963.
