history
Xinhua News Agency Hong Kong Branch changed its name to the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region in 1997. The building was originally built to be a hotel, but bought by Xinhua News Agency in 1973 before it finished. After the liaison office moved to Sai Ying Pun in 2001, it was converted to a hotel again known as the Dorsett Hotel.
Hotel
I seem to remember it was initially the Cosmopolitan Hotel, and was then renamed The Cosmo prior to being a Dorsett.
