I know one place along the Tuen Mun district coastline that had cultivated fields right up to the beach was near Siu Sau. Tsing Lung Garden and the "Peridot Court" residential development now occupy the site.
It's just a suggestion. Sadly it's too hard to make a definitive conclusion due to the amount of development that has occured there.
I see IDJ has posted an image of So Kwan Wat area. This is another possibility. As you can see from the image below, Siu Sau was right next to the sea and the various agricultural plots extended right up to the beach on the right of the frame. Perhaps it may trigger a memory of how far away from the water you were.

I can easily imagine that, 46 years later, only few of these gardens has been saved from urbanization...
