Fr. Orlando was the parish priest at St. Teresa's Church during my school years at Maryknoll Convent. On occasion there would be school Masses held at the church when we had to sing the hymns in Latin. As schoolgirls, we would joke that the nuns probably had crushes on Fr. Orlando who slightly resembled the Italian actor Rossano Brazzi!
Thanks for sharing this lovely story! I'm actually trying to make a musical about another PIME father, who had a very short time serving St. Teresa's Church as well! In my play I'll have one or two scenes talking about Father Orlando. Wonder if I can get your e-mail contact so that I could send you private messages asking for more details? My e-mail is kuievita@gmail.com and please feel free to send me e-mail! :-)
I'll be happy to email you but I'm not sure I have much more to add about Fr. Orlando. I could check with a few of my former classmates to see what they might remember about him. Good luck with your project!
