Moddsey notes:
Whilst perusing the 1913 PWD Annual Report, item 139 indicates that K.I.L. 540 refers to 1-9 Torres Buildings. The name of the building appears in this photo here
Noted an advertisement for the letting-out of houses in the Torres Buildings, Kimberley Road from 13 September 1913. China Mail 18 September 1913 refers.
KIL 540 is shown on the 1896 map, and the nine buildings along the south side of Kimberley Road are clear to see on the 1920 map.
Item 47 in the PWD's annual report for 1913 says these buildings were completed that year.

Interesting photo from late 1945 showing the foundations of Nos. 3-6 Torres Buildings, the buildings most likely destroyed during WWII.
