I had a photo album with mostly a mixture of 1920s Chinese, Hong Kong and Philippine images - this particular one only had the label "A Wedding Reception Arch" with no real indication where it was taken.
Can anyone help please?

Hi There,
Other than spotting Chinese Characters on panels and a big lantern, there is insufficient indication that it is a Wedding related photo at all. Most of those on panels could not be read, unfortunately.
Four words could be read clearly on what looked like a lantern in the traditional top down, right to left way:
It reads 建醮 from right to left. The other two charactors is 石行(top down). No idea what is 石行. Maybe of an organization or the name of a location. 建醮, on the other hand, is a Taoist rite with offering and worshiping, usually for the good of local people and places.
All other panels are of pictural presentation which is difficult to identify. Probably neen an anthropoligist or historian's point of view for that.

ps If you zoom in to maximum, some of the persons are wearing hats made from bamboo shreads commonly found in the New Territories. Together with the Chinese characters, at least there is a Chinese link. Still no idea where was the photo taken.
