As shown in the photograph the vessel was owned by the Ho Long Steamship Co Ltd (Lim Kian Beng, Managers) London and registered in Singapore.

Built in 1898 - Sir Raylton Dixon & Co. Middlesbrough.Engine builder Wallsend Slipway Co. Ltd. Newcastle U.K.

Laid down as the passenger cargo vessel CLARENCE but launched as the ANVERSVILLE of the Cie Maritime Belge du Congo, Antwerp.

Requistioned by the Admiralty into service to augment the Royal Fleet Auxiliary 27 April 1942. 

Sold for breaking up 1947 Bombay.
