This partial image of the roof of your holiday villa bears some resemblance to a house that is still standing in So Kwun Tan area. Note the raised section at the top left hand side.

If you use Google Chrome, you can click on this link to see what looks to be the original gate into the property. Either side looks to have been redeveloped, but this house is still standing (it was built in 1951). 

Thank you so much for taking the time to help find Holiday Villa area. This is all so interesting. I know this may not be the villa but certainly looks like it could be.

If it turns out to be the place then that would certainly be very lucky given the amount of redevelopment all around this area, but some of the details seem to be very coincidental.

Is there any one else in your family that can provide any other information?

 

I've been looking at the roof images and I believe that Ngan Tsui House is indeed the "holiday villa"in question. What pure luck that it is still around after all these years.
