I think it’s a stylised or idealised representation rather than an actual location.
The only building that I am aware that would fit the configuration of the building (with tower and tiny pinnacles drawn in) on the middle of the left hand side of the drawing would be St John’s cathedral on Hong Kong island making the dragon boats racing towards ‘Kowloon’ (doesn’t really fit with the topography) but this omit lots of other buildings on the idealised Hong Kong skyline.
Hi, I knew the artist who drew the inks sketches, probably using postcards or other photos for her content. I have twenty or so of them and I find them evocative of their time when she drew them. She was our next door neighbour in the old Kowloon hospital grounds.
