The building is at Des Voeux Road West,Sai Ying Pun. The adjacent pre-war building shared its wall with the post-war building pictured, the wall and pillar have to remain after the pre-war building was demolished.

Hi There,
The developer of the emptied site would have problem building the new building too of they do not buy this block and put it down altogether. I heard from a draftman a few decades ago for these conditions that the new building would have to put up suitable steel sheets against the old wall before pouring concrete or the weight of the concrete cluid will punch through the old wall into the building next door.
