She was the wife of Henry Liston Dalrymple, merchant for Birley Dalrymple and Co. (1884 Jurors List) where his address was listed as Robinson Road. Her address in the 1884 and 1885 Ladies Directory was listed as 'Stranraer' on Robinson Road. Presumably she went to "The Falls" to convalesce but unfortunately succumbed to the illness. Her grave in the Hong Kong Cemetery lists her first name as 'Mary' whereas the British newspapers named her as 'May'.- preusmably an error from the telegram
