The largest assortment in the Colony...Thanks for showing
This dark green wrapper with the 'Greeting from the East' illustration was also used as the front and back covers of several different booklets of 40 (I think) paper-thin facsimiles of M. Sternberg postcards. I first saw one close up in a dealer's shop in the Wing Kut antiques centre in Causeway Bay in about 1999, and the words, "The largest assortment of Cards in the Colony" planted an envious idea in my mind that I should try to find as many of them as possible, preferable every single one. I'm still looking, over 20 years later, and while I have around 400-500, I know of at least another 100 or so that have appeared in books or on the Internet but have remained unattainable. Thank you for showing this wrapper.
Sternberg postcards
Thank you for getting in touch. 400-500 Sternberg cards collected: show them on Gwulo I would say (if you have not already done so)!
