The fronts of these three buildings have been covered over, so they are not so obvious. But if you look at the Nike shop on the right, you can still see some of the original shop front on the first and second floors.
I think that two, and possibly three of the buildings were the same style originally. If you look at the top-right corner of the Nike shop building, you can see a small square column with a round ball on top. You can just see another ball and pillar to the right of the word 'Levis' on the advertisment above the Levi's Store building.

110-114 Castle Peak Road, Yuen Long
Greetings. It is not often I see pre-war shophouses with front columns well set back from the road. I believe all three houses were built at the same time.
Googles view shows a common stair entrance between the middle (cake shop) and the right (Nike) shop. The roof top walk-out can be seen roughly at their mid-point in this photo. Whenever I see surviving shophouses in odd number, I wonder about access to higher levels on the end unit. Do they knock out some walls, or build stairs in the rear accessible from service lane? Regards, Peter
