The stand is shown in this engraving dated 1866, so it was at least as old as that:
Earlier reports describe a grand stand at the racecourse, but it isn't clear if they refer to this building or to a temporary matshed type of building.
It is still shown on the 1899 map, but the "Map 1901" at http://www.hkmaps.hk/mapviewer.html shows it had been replaced by a new Grand Stand.
I've guessed the dates as c.1866-c.1900, but please leave a comment if you can be more accurate.
