Emerson Fitzgerald GIBSON [1864-1928]

Emerson Gibson was born in Wem Shropshire England Oct 28, 1864. He had lived in 1881 in Ealing Middlesex England. In 1891 living in Hine Heath Shropshire England.
I do not know when he arrived in Hong Kong.

He left Hong Kong Feb 10, 1914 with his wife Elizabeth and 4 children. He had noted on sailing document he had lived in Canada previously in Ontario for 6 years from 1881 to 1887 as a farmer.
He noted all of his family members were British and he was born in Ireland. He also noted that in Hong Kong he worked as a submarine engineer and Government contractor. His intended occupation was "Not decided, but farming if prospects are good." I do not know what his employment actually was once he arrived. He lived with his wife and family in Victoria BC, Nanaimo BC and Saltspring Island BC.
He passed away in 1928 in Ganges Salt Spring Island and I believe he is buried there in Fulford Harbor.

Thanks for the extra information. The findagrave page gave place of birth as Hong Kong, but I've deleted that from the details above as you've also mentioned England and Ireland as possible places of birth. 

The findagrave page confirms that his grave is in "Saint Paul Roman Catholic Cemetery, Fulford Harbour".
