I understand that there is lots of information that the British Govt has compiled about HK over the years and much of this is now available to the public. Just wondered if this has been covered at all by Gwulo ? I am aware of a recent book called "Secret 1842-1997 " by Wong Kan-Tai but i have no idea how to obtain a copy. Are you aware of other similar publications ? Thanks Jonathan Foxall
I'm not sure if this is what
I'm not sure if this is what you mean, but the UK's National Archives at Kew hold lots of information compiled during the colonial years. You'll certainly find plenty of interest there if you spend time to look through the documents. Here are some examples on Gwulo that came from there: https://www.google.com/search?q=gwulo+uk+national+archives&oq=gwulo+uk+national+arc&aqs=chrome.1.69i57j33.8390j0j7&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8
Or if you're here in Hong Kong you can visit the Public Records Office: https://www.google.com/search?sxsrf=ACYBGNRz64FY6JQEt33K1jUwOy9tO1MBjg%3A1575090314981&ei=ivjhXcjAO5XbhwPEhrCgAg&q=gwulo+hong+kong+public+records+offcie&oq=gwulo+hong+kong+public+records+offcie&gs_l=psy-ab.3...3605.4551..4869...0.2..0.90.441.6......0....1..gws-wiz.......0i71j35i304i39j0i8i13i30.3w5JPrA5IUo&ved=0ahUKEwjIrdrVlJHmAhWV7WEKHUQDDCQQ4dUDCAs&uact=5
