When Connaught Road was the shoreline, there were many piers along the road.
At the eastern end was this pier, much smaller and plainer than its neighbours.
Comments
This pier was the third pier
This pier was the third pier to bear the name Murray. The 1st generation was here and the 2nd generation here. The date for this Pier would be c1908-1955. For some reason it does not appear on many maps from the period but it is present on the 1909 and 1952 maps.
