Hi, just getting ready to head to Taipei for a long weekend, and interested to hear any ideas for less well-known Gwulo-y sort of places to visit. Hong Kong connections a bonus, as are any opportunities to buy old HK photos / ephemera.

PS No newsletter this weekend, but there are several interesting photos & topics in the pipeline.

Have a good trip.

Thanks very much for the quick replies and good suggestions.
We didn't get to Kinmen, though these photos show it will be a good spot for a future visit: http://www.theatlantic.com/photo/2015/10/taiwans-kinmen-islands-only-a-…
We did get to the Fort San Domingo, and I'll post up some photos later.
