Date of first resident
According to Centadata the first resident was there in 1/1949.
Destruction / Renovation
I read in the Standard that the house was going to be expanded from 10,000 square feet to 12,000 square feet, but judging from what I've seen it looks like they are doing a full tear down. The top two floors are gone and the way they are driving equipment over what remains makes me doubt anything will be left standing when done.
The house was purchased for $1.5billion HKD in 2015, reportedly by Jack Ma, the founder of Alibaba.com and one of the richest men in Asia. However, this point has never been confirmed by Ma or Alibaba.
Demolition date
Suggest to set demolition date to early 2017.
Demolition Date
The house was taken down in October of 2017. Took about two weeks of actual deconstruction.
Demolition date
Hi, don't want to be meticulous, but on October 1st it was already gone (see my photo from that date).
