I was at the British Library in London in late May `15 looking through their collection of the Hong Kong Police Magazine from the early 1950s to 1970. It provided a fascinating and often humourous glimpse into colonial policing during that era. It was also bi-lingual but I cannot read Chinese. I was actually looking for unusual fauna-related stories and I wasn`t disappointed, I found an account of a Chinese Giant Salamander which I vaguely have a memory of seeing before but it was good to see again. There were stories of old Hong Kong, a letters page, odd crimes, reports from various district police departments. I wonder if its online?
Re: Hong Kong Police Magazine
Not all though but the HK Police Magazine is available on line. Google: ebooks, hong kong police magazine. The first edition from 1951 can be seen here
